I leveled a few characters recently. With XP boosters on, just killing yellow named critters in Frostgorge Sound took me about 5 minutes/level to go from 70 to 80. I think Dolyaks there were netting me about 15K XP per kill. Need to kill things within about 4 levels of your current level otherwise XP scaling kicks in and you get less XP. I am sure I will appreciate the extra xp on my low level key farmers later this week but right now I am playing level 80 characters who don't need bonus exp - kind of the last thing they need. And the constant pop-up notices of achievements that don't mean anything is really getting annoying. And
I've played ranger for most of the game now, close to 1400 hours over 2 characters (yes, I have two rangers, both 80, both geared) across all aspects of the game (PvE, WvW, PvP). My goal with this guide series to help people understand the ranger profession as a whole and hopefully trim down on the "Why aren't they out of the game yet" banter.

You can level from 1 to 80 just playing in PvP without even stepping in open world content. * Random events will provide tons of extra XP, even if you're busy doing another thing. * Completing maps (including the cities of every race) are among the easiest and fastest ways to fill levels; cieties are particulary useful at the beginning due you

If I don't post a guide know that I use upgrade components other than for each tier. Make sure you are either vendoring or selling items back on the TP when you are done. You can recover up to 3g from some crafts. Full time 1-80 is less than 8 hours. Google Doc. This is the full Guide broken down per craft.
That said, when you reach level 80 it's up to you to decide what you want to do. Map completion, leveling alts, playing dungeons, playing fractals of the mists, playing raids (this one might be difficult without proper knowledge and equipment), playing meta events on level 80 maps, doing World Boss trains, PvP, WvW, crafting legendaries . 268 168 192 58 10 130 163 96 192
